Top 5 Changes Anyone Can Make to Improve Their Health
Aug 17th
Everybody wants to be healthier. Some people just don’t know how to do it, or they think that it’s too difficult. It may be difficult, but it’s too important to ignore. Here are five changes you can make in your daily life that will make you healthier.
1. Eat well.
This does not mean you should go on a diet because the term “diet” implies a temporary change. You want to learn to eat properly forever, so consider it a lifestyle change. Try making a healthy meal plan with food that you like. Whenever you want to eat, now you won’t have to think about it. If you plan your meals properly ahead of time, the correct decision is already made.
Lack Motivation?: Break Through Your Barriers
Aug 10th
This is a guest post from the author or your happy hearts.com! My name is Angie Christine and I am the author of Your Happy Hearts. I am asked to write about Motivation more than any other subject. It’s hard to help someone find their motivation. “Motivation is unique to each of us.” I have said it in the past and will continue to say it again. You may be working out for a totally different reason than that of the person jogging next to you in the gym.

Is Pasta Healthy?
Aug 4th
Such a simple question that deserves a much longer answer…Pasta has been a staple in so many of our diets. Simple, quick, cheap and tasty, it makes for a very easy dinner solution. You can have a wide variety of sauces and tastes through it, and in this economy it is a very good option. However, given the rising obesity rate all over the world, we need to stop and think whether this nightly staple is actually a good choice for us or not. Is it healthy? Well, you have to define healthy first. Anything in moderation is completely fine. I prefer to look at how much you actually need it, what you get from it, and what are potentially better options.

Hip Flexor Stretches
Jul 23rd
Here are two of my favourite hip flexor stretches. As we know, these are very troublesome and important muscles in the body, and they get tight very easily. The nature of our lives means we are sitting down most of the time, and our hip flexors are in a shortened position. This can cause a lot of pain, and consequently a lot of issues in many other areas of the body, back pain being the main complaint. I won’t go into it anymore, but check out these posts to find out more about tight hip flexors and how fascia can affect your body. Enjoy!
Don’t Sweat the Sun with Summer Exercise Tips
Jun 10th
This is a guest post by Mike Tennant…bit different theme for the site but great tips to stay safe in the sun, so enjoy!
As someone who’s spent a lot of time trying to control seemingly random weight fluctuations, it became apparent several years ago that regular exercise would be my best weapon. So I hit the gym, early and often. As a Midwestern boy, however, it was often tough to get myself to the gym on cold winter days. And on days when I did go, all I could think about was how awful the cold walk home was going to be. That’s definitely not a recipe for success.

May 2nd
Your mum was not wrong; breakfast is definitely the most important meal of the day. Don’t eat it and you will subject yourself to cravings later in the day, a slow metabolism and generally feeling sluggish and without energy. Eating something is better than nothing, but getting good nutrition in the morning is very important. You have a wide range of choices when deciding what to eat for breakfast, and I am going to show you three great option, which just happen to be my favourite.

Sauna: Heating Up Good For Your Health?
Dec 20th
Taking a sauna is a popular practice around the world, especially here in Europe. Yesterday I had a sauna. I can’t say that it’s something I do very often, I dislike sitting in a hot room dripping sweat and struggling to breathe. I got a call from one of my teammates, didn’t have much else to do and thought, why not? Now I’m from Australia, and yes, we have saunas. They differ slightly from those in good old Deutschland. Here, saunas are taken quite liberally, no swimsuit. It’s a unisex theme, both in the sauna, in the shower area for the sauna, and in the relaxation area. Oh well, you have to embrace the culture right? Anyway, my sauna yesterday inspired my post today. After sweating it out, and boy am I an efficient sweater, then a cold shower, a little lie down…repeat this process three times, I have to say, I felt pretty refreshed and relaxed.
