Your feet are small, complex structures, that repeatedly take the force of your whole body. There are 26 bones, 33 joints and over 120 muscles, ligaments and nerves in there. They have to absorb a whole lot of shock everyday, support your weight and maintain your balance. Considering the size of your feet, the impact on them is very large. So, thinking about what your feet have to do everyday, it is no real surprise that you end up with sore feet every now and then. When we talk about sore feet we look at the three main sites in the foot. The toes, the forefoot and the hindfoot.
Common Causes Of Foot Pain
As you can probably see there is good reason why you end up with sore feet. However, there are quite a few common causes that we will discuss now.
Shoes: A lot of people have foot pain from shoes that don’t fit properly. If you are wearing high heeled shoes that are placing a lot of pressure on the toes, you will have sore toes.
Posture Problems: Poor posture can actually be a cause of foot pain. Extra pressure is exerted onto certain parts of the feet.
Abnormalities: Some people inherit problems or are born with them, such as one hip higher than the other, or leg length discrepancies, which can cause extra pressure eon the feet. Flat feet or high arches will often cause pain.
High Impact Activities: Exercise like running and jumping puts extra stress through the feet, and often causes injuries in the foot area.
Medical Problems: Some medical issues which affect the feet are

- Motor and Muscle Control Conditions

Helpful Tips To Relieve Sore Feet
Considering the amount of problems you can have with your feet, here we’ll discuss a few simple tips that can help you to relieve your sore feet. Get New Shoes: Old and dead shoes don’t help too much with shock absorption, you may need an update. While you are at it, use the high heels a little less…
Get Some Inserts: You might need a little extra cushioning in your shoes, better shock absorption, or need to lift your arches up. Check out some simple shock absorption ones to start and see if they make a difference.
Look At Your Feet: If you have sore feet, take some time out to inspect them, and make sure that you don’t have any rashes, bunions or calluses that are causing you problems. You will be amazed at how many people just ignore foot pain and don’t simply check out their own feet.
Get A Foot Massage: We can all use a little circulation in our feet. Get a foot massage, doesn’t need to be done by a professional, just some gentle touch in the area will help circulation and help your feet to relax. You can also check out a self tennis ball foot massage, little bit more pain but great for people suffering from plantar fasciitis.

Soak Your Feet: This helps to relax all the muscles and ligaments in the feet. Soak them in hot water for 15 minutes and you will feel them relax.
Elevate Your Feet: If you are on your feet all day, go home and make sure you feet are elevated. This will help drain the blood from them. Ensure that they are above the level of your heart.
Treat your feet well, and you can avoid foot pain.
